e-Health27 Conference and Tradeshow is accepting applications for the Abstract Committee. Are you interested in volunteering? Your participation is extremely important to the success of the conference in Vancouver!

Key Responsibilities:

Abstract Reviewers for the e-Health27 Conference and Tradeshow are responsible for reviewing abstract submissions and rating them for inclusion in the concurrent sessions section of the 2027 conference program.  Once the abstract review process is complete, it becomes the responsibility of the 2027 e-Health Staff and Program Committee to map out the full conference program with the objective of finalizing an interesting, cohesive and educational conference program experience.

The members of the Abstract Committee are responsible for the following tasks:

• Each reviewer is responsible for reviewing and rating up to 40 abstract submissions.
• While abstract submitters’ names are not included in the reviewer documents, each reviewer should declare any conflict of interest they may have (i.e., client/colleague project that is identifiable)
• Each reviewer should complete their 40 submissions within the timeline outlined.
• After the abstract reviews are completed, committee members (five reviewers in each group) will participate in virtual wrap-up meetings to group the rated submissions by topic and theme, thereby developing a draft Program for e-Health27. Each reviewer must participate in one virtual wrap-up meeting.
• Abstract Reviewers are not responsible for contacting/confirming any presenters directly.

Time Commitment:

• The Abstract Committee will meet two times, beginning in October, until the Abstract Review period ends on November 27, 2026 @ 5:00 pm PT.
• Meetings will take place over Zoom and will be up to one hour.
• Meeting attendance is mandatory. We require your participation to build out the concurrent session program.
• Reviewing submissions will take a minimum of 12 hours.

How do I volunteer for the Abstract Committee?

If you are interested in volunteering, please:

• Check your calendar prior to completing the application to ensure you are available for the mandatory orientation (Oct 29).
• Check that you have the capacity to dedicate time to reviewing submissions (min of 12 hours between Nov 2 – 19).
• Check that you can attend one of the mandatory wrap-up meetings (between Nov 23 – 27).
• Complete the online application below by October 16, 2026.

Notifications will be emailed to all volunteer applicants by October 23, 2026.

Entitlements:

• Each volunteer member of the Abstract Committee will receive ONE (1) non-transferable complimentary full-conference registration to the e-Health27 Conference and Tradeshow in Vancouver.
• If the volunteer is unable to attend in person, they will receive ONE (1) non-transferable complimentary registration to attend the virtual plenary sessions.
• Abstract Committee volunteers are responsible for hotel and travel expenses.
