*Be Aware: Unauthorized eHealth Housing "Pirates".

Be Aware: Unauthorized Housing “Pirates” or “Poachers”
These are companies that phone, fax or email attendees and exhibitors, claiming to offer good deals on hotel rooms. They may falsely claim to be affiliated with e-Health 2015. If you provide your credit card information to one of these companies (commonly referred to as “housing pirates”), your card may be charged and you might not have a hotel room when you arrive in Toronto.

Room poaching is a practice carried out by third-party companies that act as travel agencies, wholesalers or destination management companies to solicit registrants for room reservations i.e. Exhibitor Housing Management.

      • Room poachers often don’t deliver on promises to customers. When customers arrive,
reservations are non-existent or the hotels are not conveniently located. Sometimes the
rooms have been cancelled and hefty cancellation fees have been placed on the
        customer’s credit card.
      • Room poachers make it more difficult for organizers to meet the room block commitments,
and expose e-Health 2015 to penalties and increased room rates for future conferences.
      • Poachers often represent themselves as being affiliated with e-Health by illegally using the
        conference logo.

The official housing bureau is MCI Group Canada. You will not be contacted directly by MCI Group Canada unless there is a question about your existing reservation. For the best customer service and guaranteed hotel rooms, attendees and exhibitors should book hotels through the link on this page. Unless you have initiated the communication, please do not provide anyone with your personal information, especially your credit card number.

If you are contacted by someone asking if you need a room at e-Health 2015 or if they represent themselves as the Official Housing Bureau for e-Health 2015, please get as much information as you can, such as the name of the company, the person calling and their telephone number — then contact MCI Group Canada Inc. at 604-661-4925 or ehealthhotels@mci-group.com.
