Message of Invitation from the Most Reverend Archbishop Desmond Tutu
In 1984 the Most Reverend Archbishop Desmond Tutu won the Nobel Peace prize for his strong opposition to apartheid in South Africa. He is vocal in his defense of human rights and uses his high profile to campaign for the oppressed as well as to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, homophobia, poverty and racism.
Archbishop Tutu sees eHealth as an important tool in bringing improved health to the African continent and in early 2009 was appointed as an Ambassador for eHealth by the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth. |
