A focal point for sharing our thoughts and learning from one another

“We hope that COACH [now known as Digital Health Canada] can serve as a focal point for the process of sharing our thoughts and learning from one another.”
These words are taken from the first member newsletter, penned by Digital Health Canada’s founding President, Steve Huesing, in 1975. There were six members back then and, at the second conference, held in Edmonton in 1979, Steve and his board welcomed 117 delegates.
I can’t help but wonder what Steve and his colleagues would think if he were to attend e-Health 2025. The exhibit floor is sold out, we have set a record for the number of event sponsors and as I pen this, the conference is sold out—fire code doesn’t allow us to add more delegates! These facts are a true testament to Steve’s vision.
Digital Health Canada today is a community of passionate, committed professionals who are keen to share and learn, and the e-Health conference, co-hosted by CIHI, Canada Health Infoway and Digital Health Canada, is the place that allows for that learning and collaboration.
From the Welcome Reception to the Closing Keynote and all the presentations, meetings, and networking events in between, the conference will not disappoint. Personally, I am especially excited as this is my first e-Health conference as CEO of Digital Health Canada. I look forward to meeting new people, reconnecting with friends and colleagues from around the country and hearing your ideas about where you think digital health is going and what you’d like to see from your association.
e-Health 2025 is the ultimate focal point for ‘the process of sharing our thoughts and learning from one another”. I wish you an amazing conference experience!
Please come by the Digital Health Canada booth and say hello.
