Option 1 - Dr. Julielynn Wong

  • Biography: Dr. Julielynn Wong is a brilliant, captivating, and unforgettable speaker who infuses powerful storytelling with a playful personality.  She brings an unrivalled passion for ideas that inspire audiences to build diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams to embrace innovation and engage technology to solve big challenges.
    Following medical school at Queen’s University, Dr. Wong received a Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship to complete her Masters of Public Health degree studies at the Harvard School of Public Health. She is board-certified in public health and general preventive medicine, aerospace medicine, occupational medicine, and clinical informatics, has authored over 35 scientific and technical publications and has 14 patents issued for medical devices. She worked as an aerospace medicine physician contractor at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center to support the Boeing and SpaceX crewed launches.
    She is a passionate educator who has taught courses and workshops for thousands of grade school, university, and postgraduate students. She founded Medical Makers, a program to inspire, educate, and empower a global community of innovators, patients, and healthcare providers to make sustainable solutions to save lives, time, and money. She is the Team Co-Lead for the Grand Prize Co-Winner for Intuitive Foundation’s Global Surgical Training Challenge. Her multi-racial, geographically diverse, and interdisciplinary teams are making open-access, low-cost simulation-based training to empower healthcare providers to acquire new procedural skills without the need for mentors anywhere in the world at any stage of their careers.
    Additionally, Dr. Wong is an avid pilot and drone racer, has flown as a microgravity researcher with NASA’s parabolic flight program, and served as an analog astronaut for NASA Johnson Space Center’s Human Exploration Research Analog IX and Mission Commander for Crews 183, and 207-8 at the Mars Desert Research Station. She serves as a drone instructor for the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force and deployed as an Unmanned Aerial Systems Mission Pilot in response to the 2020 catastrophic earthquake in Puerto Rico. Dr. Wong is a highly sought-out dynamic speaker and has spoken at the UN, Google Canada, Smithsonian, multiple TEDx’s and leading international conferences. She is a contributor for ABC World News, Forbes, and the Huffington Post, and has appeared on CNN, ABC News, CTV, CBC News, Global National TV, CP24, Discovery, and Space Channel.

Option 2 - Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa

Keynote Description and Objectives: Through embracing the principles of authentic leadership, Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa has driven transformative change within Canada’s healthcare system and beyond. By sharing her journey to becoming a medical trailblazer, Oriuwa outlines what it takes to manage and lead change within large and entrenched institutions and become a leader that people actually want to follow. Oriuwa leaves audiences with a prescription for leadership to thrive in the future of work; one that is grounded in authenticity and vulnerability to engage and retain today’s workforce and build inclusive environments that drive results, embrace change, and remain adaptable in an ever-shifting business landscape.

  • Biography: An accomplished physician, nationally ranked spoken word poet, and thought leader, Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa is a multi-faceted powerhouse whose journey exemplifies authentic leadership in every aspect. She is currently a resident doctor in psychiatry at the University of Toronto where she earned her medical degree and became the first Black woman named sole valedictorian of the department. In addition to her medical degree, Oriuwa has a master’s degree in Health Systems Leadership and Innovation from the University of Toronto. She’s also served on multiple boards informing their efforts in advancing equity, leading authentically, and prioritizing workplace wellness, and is the author of Unlike the Rest, her memoir of becoming, belonging, and being seen on her journey as a medical trailblazer and leader. Oriuwa has been named one of TIME magazine’s “2021 Next Generational Leaders” and one of Maclean’s Power 50. She has also been named one of Best Health Magazine‘s “Women of the Year” and been featured in several major media outlets, including CBC’s The National, CTV News, CP24, Toronto Star, and TODAY, amongst others. In 2021, Oriuwa was honoured in Mattel’s #ThankYouHeroes campaign with a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll made in her image to commemorate her contributions as a frontline healthcare worker. An in-demand speaker, Oriuwa has spoken at numerous national and international events. She honed her ability to captivate and inspire audiences as a competitive poet. Option 3 - Cherry Rose Tan

With the acceleration of generative AI, the rise of predictive models in clinical environments, and the emergence of agentic AI capable of autonomous decision-making, every part of healthcare is being reshaped faster than leaders can keep up. In this advanced, provocative and practical keynote, Cherry Rose Tan goes beyond AI fundamentals. As a serial founder, and long-time advisor to 30+ AI-focused startups at Schulich Startups (one of the original partners of the Vector Institute (one of the top AI Institutes developed by the Government of Canada), Canada’s national AI powerhouse), Cherry brings insider access to the technologies, business models, and use cases defining the next decade on how we can create, work and lead better using AI within our businesses and organizations.
