Building on the success of the first Canadian Interoperability Showcase at e-Health 2007, planning has begun for the next showcase to take place in Vancouver at the e-Health 2008 conference. The e-Health conference hosts, COACH and CIHI, are pleased to provide this year's Showcase and are excited to work with the Co-Sponsors of the Showcase, IHE Canada and Canada Health Infoway.

For 2008, the hosts and co-sponsors organizing committee is planning to:

• Continue to demonstrate the value of standards-based interoperability in support of a pan-Canadian electronic health record

• Include a broader scope of IHE integration profiles and other pan-Canadian EHR standards in the showcase

• Promote greater participation of vendors, both at the showcase booth, as well as through our new "distributed showcase," allowing vendors to participate from their own booths.

• Provide more educational sessions on IHE and interoperability
